I love trudging through google analytics. There are so
many variables available that you can use to determine customer trends.
Even though it might not be the most useful, my personal favorite tool
is looking under visitor demographics at the location. This brings up the world map with shading for countries that visitors came from. You can also go more in depth and look at individual states and cities. I find it amazing that
people from around the world are hearing about CrochetKiosk and are
compelled to come and visit.
If there was one thing I could wish for, it is that google picked up a
bigger percentage of visits. From what I understand google analytics misses anywhere
from 20-50% of visitors. I know that it is hard to be completely accurate considering
the people who block cookies can not be tracked. However, if there was a way to track a higher
percentage of visitors, it would lead to a lot more
pretty colored places on my location map. Also, the higher percentage of
visitors that are tracked the more accurate all of the other analytic
variables are. I encourage you to try google analytics and see
which parameters work best and are the most fun for you.
